8月17日，貴州大方舉辦彝族火把節(jié)活動。燈火映照夜空，人們載歌載舞，共度這場“東方狂歡節(jié)”。

On August 17, Dafang in Guizhou came alive with the Yi Torch Festival. As torches lit up the night sky, people sang and danced, celebrating what is often called the “Carnival of the East”.

 

彝族是中國第六大少數(shù)民族，火把節(jié)是其最具代表性的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日，已有上千年歷史，在每年農歷六月二十四日舉行。

The Yi are China’s sixth largest ethnic group, with a history stretching back thousands of years. Their most iconic festival, the Torch Festival, is held annually on the 24th day of the sixth lunar month.

 

火把節(jié)起源于彝族先民對火的原始崇拜，因為彝族主要分布在金沙江兩岸的高寒山區(qū)。彝族人借火把祭祀祖先、驅邪祈福、歡慶豐收。

Rooted in the Yi people’s ancient worship of fire—an element vital in the cold highlands along the Jinsha River—the festival blends rituals of ancestor worship, prayers for good harvests, and joyous gatherings.

 

火光與歌舞交織，承載著少數(shù)民族文化的獨特魅力與生生不息。

On this vibrant night, firelight and song intertwine, carrying forward the unique charm and enduring vitality of Yi culture.
